Hello.
Pup-Up Studio is a one-person operation that takes a proper photography studio to where the dogs already are.
I’m [YOUR NAME]. I’ve been a photographer for [X] years, and for most of them I photographed [PREVIOUS SUBJECT].
Then I worked out something fairly obvious: almost nobody has a good photo of their dog. Everyone has four thousand pictures on their phone and not one they’d put on a wall. The reason is usually that proper pet photography felt like a whole production — an enquiry, a consultation, a few hundred dollars, and a dog who would definitely misbehave.
So I took the studio to the dogs instead. Same lighting, same camera, same care that goes into a session costing five times as much. Just ten minutes at a Saturday or Sunday market, for the price of a decent dinner.
I’m based in [SUBURB] and I set up between Caloundra and Noosa. [X] dogs so far. [X] of them sat still.
Why the rescue partnership matters
$10 from every single session goes to [Rescue Name], and I photograph their adoptable dogs for free. Good photos measurably help dogs get homes, and it happens to be the best practice a pet photographer can get — frightened dogs, no history, no owner to help, ten minutes each. If I can photograph a shut-down rescue kelpie in a concrete run, your labrador at a market is easy.
The gear, if you care
Professional lighting, not a flash on top of a camera. A backdrop, a proper modifier, and a separation light so black dogs don’t vanish into the background — which is the single most common thing that goes wrong in pet photography and the reason most phone photos of black dogs look like a shadow with eyes.
